ebm-papst received an award for its AxiCool series – axial fans for evaporators and refrigerators – in the "Electrical equipment" category during the ceremony in Frankfurt on January 12, 2017.

Since 1979, "pro-K Industrieverband Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff", the German association for producers of semi-finished and finished plastic products, confer an award for outstanding products made of plastic. MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award 2016

In 2016, ebm-papst was very pleased to have received two awards at the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award ceremony in Munich. The diagonal compact module for use in filter ventilators for control cabinet cooling took silver in the "Product" category. And the AxiCool axial fan for high performance air coolers in the commercial and industrial cooling sector received the "Best of Category" award in the "CO2 Efficiency" category. The independent jury of specialists emphasized the AxiCool’s coherent design and benefits for the environment.

At the wards ceremony of the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Awards the RadiPac GreenTech EC centrifugal fan won the Gold award in the "Product" category. An independent panel of specialists emphasized its symbiosis of design and technology, especially its aerodynamics, which enable top efficiency. The centrifugal fans in the RadiPac product range are specially designed for use in ventilation and air conditioning equipment and are distinguished by their compactness, efficiency, ease of use and safety.

Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Prize 2015

The innovative product " AxiCool" from ebm-papst was nominated for the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Award in the material efficiency category. Products that are making a significant contribution to resource efficiency and environmental conservation were considered. There were almost 60 entries in a total of four categories for the Environmental Technology Award 2015. ebm-papst has been recognized with two awards in the past as well as receiving other nominations.

In the largest survey of its kind in Germany, news magazine FOCUS, working with professional social network XING and employer rating site KUNUNU, determined the 800 best employers with over 500 employees from a total of 22 business sectors. The special thing about the representative survey, carried out by statistics portal Statista, was that it was based on the reviews of employees from all hierachical levels and of all ages, as well as 70,000 employer reviews on KUNUNU.

Axia-Award 2014 Baden-Württemberg

The Axia-Award is an annual nationwide competition that aims to honour outstanding medium-sized businesses in Germany for their exemplary achievements. In 2014, the Axia-Award competition was held under the motto "Thinking sustainably, acting successfully". The award went to four companies who sustainably secure their shareholder structure, financing and brand image, and who place value on their staff.

RAC Cooling Industry Award 2014

The AxiTop diffuser, made by fan manufacturer ebm-papst, has been named Refrigeration Product of the Year 2014. The decision was made by the jury of the British RAC Cooling Industry Awards at the end of September. Justifying their decision, the commission made up of renowned industry experts highlighted the product's energy efficiency, low emissions and high performance. The AxiTop had last year received the Highly Commended award. This time, the jury was convinced by the product's excellent results in the field and awarded the prize to world market leader ebm-papst.

Innovation through research

The Stifterverband is one of the largest private patrons of science in Germany. In addition to promoting young academics, excellent universities and top level research, the association also examines and assesses the German research and innovation system.

Top 3 special "Resource Efficiency" award

ebm-papst selected as finalist in the special Resource Efficiency prize of the German Sustainability Award.

The special award honours exemplary business commitment to recycling and the management of raw materials and resources. TOP 100 Innovator 2013

Together with mentor Ranga Yogeshwar, TOP 100 honours the most innovative small German businesses. Professor Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business is responsible for scientific supervision of the project. Within the framework of a benchmarking study he assesses all the businesses taking part and then draws up a list of the 100 most innovative companies in each of three size classes. The comparison procedure focuses on innovation management.

GWA Profi 2013

After previously being honoured in 2009 and 2011, ebm-papst won the prestigious “GWA Profi Award” for the third time in recognition of its successful business-to-business communication.

The jury voted ebm-papst the winner in the categories “Consistency and Consequence” and “Sustainability”. ebm-papst was honoured for its consistent brand efforts over the last ten years in the category “Consistency and Consequence in B-to-B Brand Management”. The category “Sustainability” recognises the credibility of the GreenTech campaign.

Company founder Gerhard Sturm was also honoured for his contribution with the inaugural “B-to-B Marketer of the Year” award.

Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Prize 2013

The leading technology supplier ebm-papst has again been successful at the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Prize. The AxiTop diffuser made of epylen, a wood-plastic composite, was nominated in the category "Energy efficiency". The jury presided over by Prof Dr Dieter Spath (Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering and Head of the Institute for Human Factors and Technology Management at the University of Stuttgart) chose the winners in four categories from amongst 118 entries. This year's prize was presented by Franz Untersteller, the regional Minister of the Environment, on 11 July 2013 at the Stuttgart "Wagenhallen".

Hermes Award Nomination

With its revolutionary AxiTop diffuser made of epylen, a wood/plastic composite material, the world market leader ebm-papst has been chosen as one of five nominees for the 2013 HERMES-AWARD. With this product, ebm-papst successfully achieved the perfect symbiosis of aerodynamic expertise and handling materials with an eye for conserving resources.

German Sustainability Award

ebm-papst is among Germany's most sustainable companies for 2012. The fan manufacturer managed to place in the top 3 in the "Germany's most sustainable future strategy (corporate)" category. The jury praised ebm-papst's dedication in the area of energy efficiency and environmental protection, brought together under the company's GreenTech guideline. Unilever Deutschland Holding GmbH (winner) and REMONDIS AG & Co. KG were also nominated.

The distinction is an initiative of the Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis (German Sustainability Award) e.V. foundation, in co-operation with the German federal government, the Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (Council for Sustainable Development), trade associations, municipal associations, civic development organisations and research establishments.

MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award 2012: Gold Award Surface + Technology

The "EC external rotor motor" receives a Gold Award in the "Surface + Technology" category. The MATERIALICA Design + Technology Awards were awarded for the tenth time on the 23rd of October 2012, and ebm-papst made the cut and was among the winners with two products. The award has achieved a great importance in the past ten years, and unites technological expertise with design.The winning product from ebm-papst places the proven external rotor motor principle on compact motors in GreenTech EC technology. The new EC motors, with integrated commutation and control electronics, enable a simple exchange of conventional AC motors. The single-piece rotor with pressed-in shaft saves manufacturing steps, and due to the use of multi-functional parts, requires fewer individual parts. The heat dissipation concept and a comparably low package length help to reduce material.

MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award 2012: Silver Award Product

The "Range hood blower in EC technology" received a Silver Award in the "Product" category. The EC motors used in range hood blowers save a great deal of energy due to their high efficiency. They are lightweight and long-lived and, thanks to their special technology, reduce structure-borne noise and are also extremely quiet. The integrated electronic control system allows their speed to be adapted continuously to the specific requirements.

DEKRA Award

ebm-papst Mulfingen GmbH has won the DEKRA award 2012 in the category "Environment – Challenges of energy transformation". With the award, the jury recognised the dedication of the Mulfingen-based fan specialist in the area of resource efficiency and sustainability, which is summarized under the company slogan GreenTech. The reason given by the jury was that ebm-papst, with a self-developed biomaterial and the internal product line GreenTech, has implemented a comprehensive concept to saving energy. In the company's own production, this promotes energy efficiency. The innovative products save energy and raw materials. The award is given by DEKRA jointly with the German WirtschaftsWoche publication and rewards the best sustainable solutions for economic and societal questions of the future. Outstanding performance in the categories of safety, environment and health are rewarded.

ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award

Award-winning AxiTop diffuser. This year the association of European manufacturers of components for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology (ASERCOM) presented the "ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award" twice. Due to the diversity of the contest entries, the jury decided for the first time–unanimously, no less–that two awards should be presented. The two German winners ebm-papst Mulfingen and Güntner (based in Fürstenfeldbruck) were distinguished for their innovative concepts in the field of refrigeration and air-conditioning technology. The highly regarded award was presented to the winners on 8 October 2012 as part of the symposium hosted by ASERCOM and EPEE. This opening event traditionally takes place on the eve before the Chillventa trade fair, the world's leading trade fair in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.

CSR Prize

ebm-papst has been awarded the German CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Prize for its commitment in the field of energy efficiency and climate protection at a ceremony in Stuttgart attended by State Premier Winfried Kretschmann. For many years, the fan specialist has demonstrated its social responsibility with its "GreenTech" corporate guidelines. The presentation ceremony on 17 April 2012 was the high point of the 8th Germany CSR Forum, which was held during the Sustainability Week in Baden-Württemberg.

The Land of Ideas

In April 2012, ebm-papst Mulfingen GmbH was among the prize winners in the nationwide competition "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" with the ebm-papst Energy Scouts. In line with the company's "GreenTech" guidelines, ebm-papst developed the idea of how to sensitise trainees to the issue of energy saving. As Energy Scouts, the trainees move around the company looking for energy savings potential. They are equipped with highly sensitive equipment such as air pressure gauges and thermal imaging cameras and are coached by trainers and by the ebm-papst Environmental Officer. The task of the Energy Scouts is to identify and ease the impact of energy guzzlers in the company. Their activities enabled savings totalling around 100,000 euro to be made in their first year

ebm-papst wins "Gold Award" of the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award 2011

According to the tradition, the "MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award" was again bestowed 2011 to innovators of the materials and technology scene. The festive awards ceremony was held in the presence of over 150 guests on the first evening of the Materialica trade fair in Munich. From nearly 150 submissions, the expert jury selected 38 winners in the categories of "Materials", "Surface & Technology", "Product", "CO2 Efficiency" and "Student". ebm-papst made it into the ranks of the Gold Award winners in the "Materials" category with its energy saving fans made of biomaterials. For these fans, the wall ring consists of "epylene," a wood/plastic composite material. With the targeted use of sustainable and resource-conserving biomaterials, these fans make it possible to prevent considerable CO2 emissions during manufacturing, in addition to their already high energy savings in applications such as refrigerated cases.

Baden-Wuerttemberg Environmental Technology Award 2011

In July, Minister of the Environment Franz Untersteller presented the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Award in Stuttgart for particularly excellent environmental technology products that make a great contribution to conserving resources and protecting the environment.The prizes were awarded in four categories: "Energy efficiency", "Material efficiency", "Emission reduction, treatment and separation" and "Process measuring and control technology".This was the second time that ebm-papst was among the winners, taking second place in the 'Energy efficiency' category with its "RadiCal®" GreenTech EC centrifugal fan series.

Design Plus Material Vision 2011

The Design Plus award recognises excellent and particularly innovative design. Every two years, the Design Plus label is awarded to coincide with Material Vision, distinguishing products that make use of innovative materials or processing techniques. With the new energy-saving fans made of biomaterials, ebm-papst is one of the winners of the Design Plus Material Vision Award 2011. These fans are the first to feature a wall ring made of wood/plastic composite material. Using these materials in a way that conserves resources makes it possible to prevent substantial amounts of CO2 emissions, even during manufacturing.

ebm-papst a "Selected Landmark" in the Land of Ideas

ebm-papst is a "Selected Landmark 2011" in the Land of Ideas. ebm-papst is among the winners of the "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" competition, organised by the landmark initiative "Germany – Land of Ideas" in collaboration with the Deutsche Bank. Under the patronage of the German Federal President, the competition focuses on ideas and projects that will actively shape the future of Germany. ebm-papst convinced the jury with the "RadiCal" development, an energy-saving fan whose impeller features an aerodynamically innovative shape and perfectly configured hybrid material combination. Compared to conventional fans, the "RadiCal", which is employed in ventilation and air conditioning technology applications, makes it possible to halve noise emissions and to reduce energy consumption by up to 50%.

ebm-papst - a climate-protection company

Modern technology and creativity are used to substantially reduce energy consumption. Companies that have impressively demonstrated how this can be done were honoured by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the German Federal Government in October 2010 as part of the partnership for climate protection, energy efficiency and innovation. With this award, the eleven companies honoured, one of them ebm-papst, were made members of the group of "CLIMATE PROTECTION COMPANIES". The group of "CLIMATE PROTECTION COMPANIES" is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Reactor Safety, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), and is supported by the Climate Protection Initiative of the Ministry of the Environment.

ebm-papst was among the five companies nominated for the HERMES AWARD 2010, one of the most sought-after international industry awards for the best technological innovations. ebm-papst convinced the prestigious jury with its world first "RadiCal", an energy-saving fan which has an impeller that is distinguished by its aerodynamic properties due to an innovative design and its perfectly co-ordinated combination of hybrid materials. Due to improved motor thermal management, the efficiency of the electronically controlled EC fan drive was also significantly increased once again. The company, based in the south of Germany, has been the pioneer and pacesetter in the field of EC technology for years.

New Hollenbach production facility distinguished with the "Good Practice in Energy Efficiency" label

The new energy-efficient production plant realised by ebm-papst Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KG was distinguished in February 2010 with the "Good Practice in Energy Efficiency" label by the German energy agency, Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena), in the category of energy-efficient buildings. The "Good Practice in Energy Efficiency" label is awarded by dena for activities and projects that contribute to an increase in energy efficiency and to a decrees in total final energy consumption. Role models for 2009 – ebm-papst receives "Ehren-Victor" award

For their social commitment in the area of sports and culture, ebm-papst received the 2009 "Ehren-Victor" award of the Württembergische Sportjugend (WSJ), a sport association in the state of Baden-Württemberg. In addition to arranging the ebm-papst Marathons and the ebm-papst Indoor Championships, the company supports the Hohenlohe volleyball school, the youth football team of the FSV Hollenbach, the Triathlon-Bundesliga team in Freudenbach, the youth gymnastics team of the LG Hohenlohe and many other clubs with advertising banners.

ebm-papst, the leading global manufacturer of fans and motors, is once again among the prize-winners of Germany's nationwide competition "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" for 2010. The jury was persuaded by the "LambdaConstant" system developed at the company's location in Landshut, Germany. With this development, ebm-papst has created a microprocessor-controlled system that ensures a constant gas/air mixture at all times and thus an optimally controlled burning process for modern gas heaters. The official awards ceremony is scheduled for 11 May 2010 on the ebm-papst Landshut location's campus.

ebm-papst wins the Energy Efficiency Award 2009

ebm-papst was distinguished with the Energy Efficiency Award 2009 at the Hannover Messe 2009. With the new plant in Mulfingen-Hollenbach, an energy-efficient solution was implemented that covers the entire heat requirement of the plant premises using existing heat loads. The premises are heated entirely using the heat given off from production. In selecting the components, attention was given to choosing state-of-the-art, energy-efficient technologies. This enabled the energy costs to be reduced by 91 percent.

The Association of European Refrigeration Compressor and Controls Manufacturers (ASERCOM) has announced this year’s “ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award”. The award was given to ebm-papst during the ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium on October 14, 2008 by Michael Mueller, Parliamentary State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry for the Environment. There were two products highlighted, both of which make a major contribution to energy saving. At the Hannover Messe Industry 2008, the new HyBlade® axial fan was honored with the iF material award 2008. With HyBlade®, an innovative and currently one-of-a-kind hybrid structure, ebm-papst is revolutionizing the technology of axial fans. HyBlade® combines the stability of a high-strength aluminum alloy with the light weight and unlimited moldability of fiberglass-reinforced plastics. Substantially lighter weight and a fan geometry that can be adapted for optimum aerodynamics lend HyBlade® fans a significant increase in efficiency in applications.

"An international panel honored us with this award because of the enormous advantages of our new EC dual centrifugal blower for use in buses and other commercial vehicles," said Rolf Hollenbach, ebm-papst Mulfingen Automotive Sales Manager, describing the latest prize for the company's energy-efficient, electronically commutated motors and fans. The company won the European Electronics Industry 2005 Elektra Product Innovation Award, which was presented by British trade magazine Electronics Weekly.

The new energy-saving giants from ebm-papst were again honored with the "Best New Product" award in 2005. The EC fans from ebm-papst won one of the awards for innovation at the well-respected CleanRooms Contamination Control Technology (CCT) 2005 convention and exhibition in Boston. The energy-saving motors from ebm-papst gained widespread favor among convention attendees in the category of ready-to-use products with the greatest benefits for customer.

ebm-papst won another award for its EC energy-saving giants. A panel of experts from British trade magazine Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Magazine (rac) honored the innovative EC motors and fans from ebm-papst with the 2004 Cooling Industry Award. The energy-saving motors were chosen as the "Environmental Product of the Year" in refrigeration technology.
